Yes Virginia, There IS a Blogisode.
Which comes first, the Blog or the Sode?
-The latter one brings up an even more important question… what is a “Sode”? Well… the etymology of the word “episode” comes from greek, meaning the addition of something to a story.
Since a “blog” is a contraction of the term “web log” a Blogisode then is an episode of a web log (and its highly contagious) free for all the world to view and admire -or brutally and rabidly criticize if you’re one of THOSE people…
A Blogisode is much more than a conventional web log though. A Blogisode can contain anything you can think of that’s transmittable via electric signals. They’re not just for reading! A Blogisode could be an entire collection of text, images, graphics, music, video, sound effects, obnoxious Flash features, and insanely sophisticated interactive puzzles or applications, as well as… the dreaded scurge of the internet… Advertisements…
It all depends on how ridiculously devoted the Blogisoder (Blogisode Author) is to presenting the most awesomely cool experience possible to the audience. Blogs need love and care and time to grow and develop through lots of skill and effort. And it’s up to YOU to nurture and praise a Blogisode when it deserves it, to keep it alive and busting down the doors of convention!
It’s not a tough job really because Blogisodes are full of fun and excitement. Every single one is different and unique from the last. You never know what kind of experience you will have (although they tend to be organized into series and so the experience you have should in fact be somewhat predictable… if the author is at all sane…)
In summary, Blogisodes are everywhere, even if they don’t know it. Unbelievable? Just ask a chicken if it knows it’s a chicken. I assure you the answer will be “cluck cluck”. If not, that’s one chicken the whole world will want to meet… and how will that chicken introduce itself to the entire world? …In a Blogisode.
